Rainwater harvesting project at Fetteh Kakraba
Clean drinking water is precious. Ghana uses more groundwater than it is recharged. Thus, the groundwater level drops continuously. On the other hand, heavy rains ensure that there is water in abundance in the short term.
The aim of this project is to harvest rainwater. The harvested rainwater is stored and used as needed. The need for domestic water can be met with rainwater. Up to 60 percent of drinking water can be saved by using rainwater. In this way, the valuable resource WATER can be conserved.
